“Despite the less than hospitable weather, we were pleased to provide a warm welcome to East Lothian Ladies’ County Golf Association and 155 golfers from across the UK. The spirit and determination of Babe Zaharias was alive and well as the ladies persevered with the unforgiving mist and our feisty links, and the competition was equally intense with an impressive 77 winning the day in difficult conditions. This is an important event and we enjoyed being hosts. We’re delighted that Macmillan Cancer Support will benefit from the ladies’ efforts.”
